FANNIN COUNTY, Texas — A manhunt is underway after two inmates escaped from a county jail near the Texas-Oklahoma border on Saturday.

The Fannin County Texas Office of Emergency Management said the two escaped from the Fannin County Jail in Bonham. They were captured on video running to a wooded area located southeast of the facility.

They escaped around 9:15 p.m. They were wearing grey sweats.

Raymond Ross was in custody for evading arrest with a motor vehicle, drug possession and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Ramon Perez was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Although police don’t believe the two are armed, you are urged not to approach them.

Instead, if you spot them or have information on their whereabouts, you are urged to call the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office at 903-583-2143.
