SAN ANTONIO — A mother and father were killed after a shooting broke out at a San Antonio house party on Roslyn Avenue Saturday night. Their 13-year-old daughter was shot at but sustained non-life threatening injuries. A total of five people were shot.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, the altercation was believed to be between two separate families. An argument took place at the party when one woman who lived down the street from the party went to her home and brought back several family members. The situation then escalated when both sides began to display their weapons and exchanged gunfire. Shots were fired by both families. It's unclear which party started the gunfire.

The mother and father were pronounced dead at the scene and the three other people who were shot were taken to a hospital in unknown condition.

SAPD has not named those involved in the incident. They currently have one person in custody who may have been involved in the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing and authorities don't have a suspect who they believe started the gunfire. They do have one individual in custody who may have been involved in the shooting.
