TEXAS — As Texas continues to face triple-digit heat, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, or ERCOT, has issued a Voluntary Conservation Notice for Tuesday, June 20 from 4-8 p.m.

Texans are asked to reduce their electricity use during this time if it is safe to do so. ERCOT is not in emergency operations and still anticipates demand will be met.

All government agencies are asked to implement any and all programs to reduce energy use at their facilities.

ERCOT said that if you experience an outage, it is likely local in nature and not related to the grid. You are urged to first contact your electric provider.
