AUSTIN, Texas — A Texas designer is hoping to stand out among some of the most talented designers in the country, competing in the latest season of "Project Runway."

Bravo TV's hit show is celebrating its 20th season with a competition of designers from the 19 previous seasons. "Project Runway All-Stars" will feature 14 designers, including Brittany Allen, a designer based in Austin. Allen, who appeared on season 18 of the show, is the only designer from her season and the only one from Texas.

Allen tells Spectrum News 1 she can't imagine her studio being in a city other than Austin.

"I could thrive in New York, or I could honestly live just about anywhere, but what I really love about Austin is its just a creative space," said Allen. "There's so much art and acceptance for local businesses, and just so many opportunities to showcase your work."

"Project Runway All-Stars" premieres Thursday, June 15 at 7 p.m. CST on Bravo TV.
