SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department said a child that was reported missing Saturday morning has been located.
Sylis McClendon, 5, was found safe in the care of his mother.
Authorities said that McClendon’s biological mother dropped him off along with his older brother at the biological father’s home Friday evening. The father was out of town at the time. Police said there were two adult acquaintances of the father staying at the house at the time the two children were dropped off.
The San Antonio Police Department was notified around 10 a.m. Saturday that McClendon was not in the house when the adults woke up Saturday morning. However, the older brother was inside of the home.
There were no signs of forced entry. Officers searched the neighborhood with the assistance of police helicopter. Police said that they attempted to contact the biological mother but at first they were not successful. The child was found with his mother around 4 p.m. Saturday.
