AUSTIN, Texas -- The Austin Public Library is embracing the virtual world by debuting the eCard.

The eCard allows people to access the virtual library, which are items like e-books and e-magazines. 

It doesn't replace a physical library card, but officials say it will help people who can't get to the library. People can apply for an eCard online.
