TRAVIS COUNTY - The Hutto Fire Department and Starflight assisted the Austin Fire Department in battling a brush fire in Northeast Travis County Tuesday afternoon.

Austin Fire Info Tweeted that they were called out to the fire in the 8700 block of Cele Lane around 1:15 p.m.

The Hutto Fire Department and Starflight assisted with efforts, but authorities said crews were having trouble containing the fire due to low humidity and steady wind.

By 5:30 p.m. authorities said that the fire was contained and burned nearly 80 acres. The Pflugerville fire department was assisted by Manor, Austin, Hutto, Round Rock, Taylor and Starflight.

Fire crews will continue to monitor the area.
