ROUND ROCK, Texas – Two girls that were at the center of a Amber Alert on Tuesday, Jan. 2 returned to Texas Friday afternoon.

The girls are now in the custody of Child Protective Services and have been placed in foster care in the area. Currently, CPS is in the process of determining the best place for the girls that is safe and good for their well-being. A hearing will be held on Jan. 16, where the case will be presented to a Williamson County judge to determine if CPS has grounds for the removal of the girls from their family and if they will stay permanently with family, friends or foster care.
