1. 17-year-old suspect in Round Rock Juneteenth shooting arrested

A 17-year-old from Manor was arrested Thursday morning in connection to a shooting in Round Rock at a Juneteenth celebration over the weekend that left two people dead and 14 wounded.

The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested the minor on charges of second-degree aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was taken to the Williamson County Jail.

2. Tropical Storm Alberto weakens over northeast Mexico after heavy rains killed 3

Tropical Storm Alberto, the season’s first named storm, rumbled ashore early Thursday and moved inland over northeast Mexico, bringing heavy rains to the parched region and leaving at least three dead.

The storm was weakening rapidly over land and was downgraded to a tropical depression by the U.S. National Hurricane Center with maximum sustained winds of 35 mph. Coastal storm watches and warnings in Mexico were lifted as Alberto moved west at 18 mph.

3. Rapper Travis Scott arrested in Miami Beach for misdemeanor trespassing and public intoxication

Rapper Travis Scott was arrested by Miami Beach police early Thursday on misdemeanor charges of trespassing and public intoxication.

Miami Beach police confirmed the arrest, but did not immediately provide any details. Scott, 33, posted his $650 bond, which means he will be released later Thursday, Miami-Dade County jail records show.

4. American Airlines CEO says the removal of several Black passengers from a flight was 'unacceptable'

American Airlines put an unspecified number of employees on leave for their involvement in an incident in which several Black passengers were removed from a flight in Phoenix, allegedly over a complaint about body odor.

American CEO Robert Isom wrote in a note to staff that the incident was unacceptable.

Three Black passengers sued the airline last month, charging that they were removed from the January flight because of racial discrimination. They said they were told that a white male flight attendant had complained about an unidentified passenger's body odor.

Donald Sutherland, the towering actor whose career spanned 'M.A.S.H.' to 'Hunger Games,' dies at 88

Donald Sutherland, the prolific film and television actor whose long career stretched from "M.A.S.H." to “The Hunger Games,” has died. He was 88.

Kiefer Sutherland, the actor's son, confirmed his father's death Thursday. No further details were immediately available.
