AUSTIN, Texas — San Antonio is bringing the Por Vida hype to Austin for the third annual I-35 Series as the Spurs take on the Phoenix Suns and the Detroit Pistons at the Moody Center on Feb. 20 and 21. To celebrate the collaboration between the neighboring cities, fans will have access to a full week of freebies, activations, block parties, ticket giveaways and more.

Whether you have tickets to the games or just want to participate in the events, here’s what to expect and how to get in on the fun.

Sunday, Feb. 16

The week-long festivities kick off with a Spurs Fit Club celebration at the Austin Marathon featuring giveaways, prizes and a DJ. Then, Bouldin Acres South will host an NBA All-Star Game watch party with music, free Spurs merch, churros and more.

Tuesday, Feb. 18

Whataburger will present a free block party at Huston-Tillotson University, Austin’s only HBCU. The event will feature live music, a National Pan-Hellenic Chapter stroll-off, a local and minority-owned business vendor market, food trucks and more.

Wednesday, Feb. 19

Gather your team of four for the second annual Spurs Cup at Bouldin Acres North and compete in yard games like cornhole, flip cup and limbo for the chance to win Spurs tickets, merch and the cup trophy. Tickets are $40 per team; proceeds benefit the team’s nonprofit, Spurs Give.

Thursday, Feb. 20

The Downright Austin hotel will host a free pregame party before the Spurs take on the Phoenix Suns at 7 p.m. The tailgate will feature drink specials, a cowboy hat customization station and free pedicab rides to Moody Center for fans heading to the game.

Friday, Feb. 21

The team’s second game commences Friday against the Detroit Pistons at 7 p.m.

Spurs activations will be available in the arena on Thursday and Friday, including:

  • Free products from the H-E-B Portal
  • Gaming at Alienware’s free gaming pod
  • Soda samples at the Coca-Cola Airstream

Throughout the week, Jo’s and Manana will offer free coffee from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., plus giveaways and prizes.
