AUSTIN, Texas — New year, new you, and this time you're sticking to it. That is, if you live in Austin, where people are most likely to stick to their New Year’s resolutions, according to a study by WalletHub.
Most Americans ring in the new year with aspirations of saving money and prioritizing their health, according to the report, and Austin falls at No.4 for cities that are conducive to self-improvement.
The markers used to compile the list comprised of analyzing exercise opportunities, income growth, employment outlook, obesity in adults, among others, across 182 cities. The 57 metrics were graded on a 100-point scale.
Austin’s overall score was a 65.21. The top city, Seattle, Washington, received a 69.00.
The only other Texas city to make into the top 20 is Plano, Texas, at No. 12. Plano’s ranking was a 62.97. Houston and Dallas landed at No. 43 and No. 46, respectively.
