TEXSAS — If you’re looking for an opportunity to volunteer your time or donate over the Thanksgiving holiday in Texas, there a several opportunities.

Central Texas Food Bank

Central Texas Food Bank expects to serve 3,250 pounds of turkey and serve 250 families during a distribution event on Tuesday. Sen. John Cornyn will be on hand at the CTFB Mobile Pantry in East Austin on Tuesday to hand out groceries to families in need.

H-E-B Feast of Sharing

H-E-B’s Feast of Sharing is a program that aims to provide Texans with free meals throughout November and December as part of its Hunger Relief Program. The events also include music, family activities, wellness screenings and flu shots and even a visit from Santa in select cities!

Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner

The Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner is a nonprofit that provides Thanksgiving meals to people who may not be able to afford one. It’s now in its 44th year in San Antonio.
