AUSTIN, Texas — The city of Austin is officially getting a taste of “The Simpsons” as East Austin temporarily transforms into Springfield.

Local bar Nickel City has transformed into Moe’s Tavern for the fifth year in a row. This transformation is a fun Halloween tradition for local “Simpsons” fans, but this year fans will get an even bigger surprise coming to the pop-up for two days.

Bill Oakley, a former writer and producer of “The Simpsons,” will be at the pop-up Oct. 19 and Oct. 20, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. He will be hosting meet-and-greets with fans.

With giant cut-outs of “Simpsons” characters throughout the pop-up, visitors can also enjoy themed beverages such as Duff beer and Flaming Moe’s.

If you’re a “Simpsons” fan or just want to immerse yourself in this unique Halloween pop-up experience, be sure to head over to Moe’s Tavern in East Austin. The pop-up will be going on every day until Halloween.
