AUSTIN, Texas — McCallum High School senior Charlotte Wunz is no stranger to hard work.
“I do track, cross country and tennis,” she said.
Playing multiple sports, she thrives on a busy schedule, and gets something out of each sport she plays. Sports have become her outlet to get more energy. She tells us “it helps me throughout” the day.
She brings a sense of comradery to her teammates. Charlotte says that she’s outspoken and always “trying to bring everyone together.” She has an energy that makes her approachable to all.
Growing up, Charlotte had a great example of a well-rounded athlete with her mom.
“I think we’re different types of players,” she says.
While Charlotte can easily run anywhere on the court, she admits her mom can be a powerful player.
“She can make the ball go a hundred miles per hour,” she laughed while talking about her mom’s skills.
After high school, Charlotte plans to attend college. While she’s still deciding on her school, she knows exactly what she’s going to major in. She has her sights set on studying psychology because “right now is the most exciting time to enter that field,” and she’s a big advocate for mental health.
