TEXAS — Wednesday kicked off the start of Pride month, when the LGBTQ+ community celebrates the Stonewall uprising in New York in 1969.

There’s a slew of activities being held around Texas.

Dallas Pride 2022 starts Saturday in Fairfield Park. The festival is set to be headlined by reality tv star, Shangela. The festival will b followed by the Dallas Pride parade on Sunday, June 5.

In the Alamo City, Pride Week returns June 17 at the San Antonio Zoo with ‘Night Out at the Zoo.’ The celebratory week close out with Finale at Pride In The Park at Fiesta Texas on Sunday, June 26.

While the official Pride parade in Austin is still set for Aug. 2022, there’s still plenty of fun to plan this Pride month.

Round Rock Pride is holding its inaugural festival on Saturday, June 4, following a proclamation from the city declaring June as National Pride Month.

Families can have fun at ‘Rainbow on the Creek’ for a Pride celebration at Waterloo Park on June 11.
