BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A Brooklyn City Councilwoman is recovering in the hospital after being involved in a car crash Monday.

Farah Louis is expected to make a full recovery.

Her sister tells NY1 she was driving alone Monday morning when a motorcyclist crashed into the passenger side of her vehicle on Kings Highway and Avenue J.

Several local leaders, including mayoral candidate Eric Adams, have taken to Twitter to wish her a full and speedy recovery.

Police say the 32-year-old motorcyclist was transported to Brookdale Hospital in critical condition with head trauma.

Sources say he did not have the right of way and was not licensed. 

Investigators say no arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
