TEXAS – The Texas-based H-E-B grocery store chain has launched an online portal where the public will eventually be able to sign up to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, but the company says it has no available doses as of now.
The website was last updated last Friday and will eventually be used for customers to schedule vaccine appointments.
“H-E-B has requested more COVID-19 vaccine from the state of Texas. Once we have vaccine, eligible customers can sign up using our scheduler below to receive a COVID-19 vaccine at no cost,” reads a section of the website.
We do not currently have the COVID-19 vaccine in our stores and it is not available to the general public - but we are planning for when it is. Hear from our Partners about it & stay tuned to https://t.co/dhiMQlg2Kw, where we will update when we know more. https://t.co/ojGdtKXQp9

When more vaccines are available, the public will be able to sign up online – the company says walk-up vaccinations will not be available.
The first groups that will be able to get the vaccines from H-E-B pharmacies include health care workers and residents of long-term care facilities part of phase 1A. Those in 1B, adults over 65 and 18 year olds with chronic medical conditions will also qualify.
The company says to continue checking this website for appointments as they become available.
