NATIONWIDE – It’s a sure sign of the politics of 2020, and it may signal a bad Halloween for those named Karen.

Los Angeles-based artist Jason Adcock, inspired by 2020’s social upheaval and resultant memes, has created and is selling what he calls a “Karen” mask.

“Karen” is a derogatory word for a middle-aged woman who’s typically white, often in the wrong, aggressive, and is perceived as entitled. The name has become part of the social media lexicon.

Women labeled “Karens” have appeared in viral videos protesting the enforcement of masks and calling police on people of color without cause.

The artist, who’s selling his creation on Etsy, described it as “The scariest thing you can be on Halloween!!!” The mask comes in two varieties and the asking price is $180.

Each “Karen” has blonde hair, bloodshot eyes, rotting, yellow teeth, and is scowling.
