NATIONWIDE – It was a strange occurrence on Twitter Wednesday and Thursday. Despite his death in July, which has been attributed to COVID-19, the official Twitter account of former GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain tweeted criticisms against presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris.
On Wednesday, Cain's account tweeted, “Just in case you thought Biden’s campaign was going to be anything other than completely nuts, team Trump has released a new video.”
On Thursday, Cain’s account narrowed the focus to Harris, tweeting, “Harris has a ton of baggage and a glass jaw. She’s awful. Tulsi has already demolished her once. Should she get the chance to do it again?”
Of course, a public figure’s social media accounts being taken over following death is nothing new, and Cain’s family vowed to do so in order to “share the ideas and information he believed in.” Cain had been ill with the novel coronavirus for several weeks prior to his death on July 30.
While it’s not known where or when he was infected, he was hospitalized two weeks after attending President Donald Trump’s June campaign rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The former pizza company executive was an outspoken backer of the president and was named by the campaign as a co-chair of Black Voices for Trump.
