AUSTIN, Texas – As football fans continue to wait and see how the fall sports season will unfold, UT Athletics has unveiled more safety information for home games this season, including that single-game tickets will not be sold.

What You Need To Know

  • Single-game tickets will not be available for purchase this year
  • Mobile-only ticketing will be used at home games

  • Cash cannot be used to buy merchandise or food/drinks

  • Everyone will be required to wear masks

Like many other events and organizations that have attempted to reopen during the global COVID-19 pandemic, fans at UT home games this fall can expect to see lots of hand sanitizer, masks, and social distancing.

The organization says there will be hand sanitizer stations throughout the DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium and areas like restrooms, suites, clubs, the press box, locker rooms, and even the turf will be disinfected throughout the season. Those in attendance will also be allowed to bring their own 3.4 oz. individual-sized hand sanitizer bottles and sanitary wipes.

Fans will be asked to social distance from other groups whenever possible and everyone will be required to wear masks over their mouths and noses.

One big change will be the absence of cash when purchasing food and merchandise. All purchases can be made either through the use of a credit card, the Texas Longhorns mobile app, or Apple/Google pay systems.

There will be new social distancing markers around the stadium and season-ticket holders should hear from university staff in the coming weeks about where their seats will be located in order to accommodate social distancing.

Tailgating will be allowed but anyone participating will be asked to follow whatever guidelines are still in place at the time of the game including wearing masks, social distancing, and limiting how many attendees are in an area.
