SAN ANTONIO — Her coach describes her as having a great work ethic, huge drive and as someone who always strives to make herself better, but Audrey Rivera does not seek the spotlight, even though she probably deserves it.

“She’s a super humble kid,” said MacArthur soccer coach CJ Morrison. “She’s not looking for the stardom.”

Quietly, Rivera goes about her business as a team captain for the Brahmas. She keeps a GPA over 100 and spends a lot of time volunteering in the community.

“I really like to help people and I think giving back is really good,” says Rivera. “I’m grateful for all the things I have and I want to be able to share that.”

That attitude has given her a vision for what she wants to do in the future.

“I want to become a doctor,” Rivera said. “I like helping people and little kids so I’m thinking of being a pediatrician.”

While Rivera knows what she wants to study in college, she also wants to stay active and keep her soccer career going at the next level.

“I’ve been playing since I was 4. I really enjoyed it and my dad was my coach for a little while which helped me and kept me going.”

For someone that is always trying to achieve more, Rivera could go very far in life.
