NATIONWIDE — The Monday after Thanksgiving is a lucrative day for online stores. That’s how Cyber Monday, which dates back to 2005, got its name. Many people were looking for a reprieve from the craziness at brick-and-mortar stores on Black Friday.

This year, Cyber Monday falls on December 2, but many companies are already offering deals.
