AUSTIN, Texas -- Pete Souza was the chief official White House photographer for both Presidents Barack Obama and Ronald Reagan. In that role, he had full access to the leaders of the free world, and an intimate look at their very public lives.

Souza has a new book called Shade: A Tale of Two Presidents, in which he juxtaposes images from the past administration with the current Trump administration.

"I started to feel that there was something off about this president, this new president, that he was not respecting other people, that he was bullying people on Twitter, he was lying to us every day, and I thought on Instagram I could remind people what a normal presidency is like," said Souza.

Souza is also being featured in a documentary from Focus Features which will explore his life both behind the lens, and now, in the public eye.
