It brings the total investment to $3 billion for the San Antonio truck assembly plant to better serve customers according to Toyota. The company also announced it is donating $500,000 to Alamo Promise.
"It’s really exciting. I grew up about 5 minutes away from here. I used to fish in this river that’s right around the corner so it’s good just to see how much it’s developed the whole community and it’s just awesome that Toyota just keeps on giving back to the community,” said Joel Robles, Team Texas Toyota employee.
The San Antonio truck plant is where Tacomas and Tundras are made. Toyota has been in San Antonio for 16 years and has produced almost 2.5 million trucks.
