SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department were searching for three missing children who police said were in danger Saturday afternoon.
- Taken by biological mother
- Mother did not have rights per CPS order
Police said the children were taken from a family member by their biological mother, 37-year-old Amanda Olivarez, who did not have rights to them per an order by Child Protective Services.
The children were last seen in the 600 block of Gillette Boulevard. Police said the mother was headed somewhere in the Rio Grande Valley.
Late Saturday night, SAPD reported that the children had been return to the Westside substation.
The mother, who took them in violation of the CPS order, saw the news coverage and arranged for a relative to pick them up and take them to the police substation.
All three boys were unharmed and are now safely in the custody of their legal guardian as CPS investigates.
An investigation into the actions of the biological mother is underway and she could face an array of charges. Currently, her whereabouts are unknown but the investigation into her actions is ongoing.
