SAN ANTONIO -- A North Side bar is looking for a “non-dramatic,” “sober” and “somewhat sane” server, according to the help wanted ad posted on Facebook Tuesday afternoon. Lucy Cooper's Texas Ice House uploaded the photo as a joke but it quickly got a strong reaction online.

Owner Braunda Smith said she found the photo months ago and saved it. When she decided to hire more servers, she included the sarcastic photo on a whim.

It's not actually posted at the bar, but Lucy Cooper's is known for its tongue-in-cheek and sarcastic humor. For example, a sign outside says the bar is 21 and up because babies are made there, not served.

Smith said she certainly wasn't expecting the strong reaction online and noted that some of the comments were a little confused about whether the ad was serious.

"This is a bar, so the best thing is [the question] ‘Sober? Do you have to be sober just at work?’ Yes, do what you want to do on your own free time, but here let's stay a little sober,” Smith said.

Smith said finding dedicated employees can be difficult in the service industry, but emphasized that she works hard to run her bar like a family and takes care of everyone who works for her.
