After a stormy Tuesday afternoon across central North Carolina, calmer conditions are ahead for the rest of this week along with pleasantly warm temperatures.

Tuesday's storms formed along a cold front that has now moved off the state's coast.  That should keep temperatures below normal for the next several days.

Normal high temperatures are around 90 in July, but Wednesday's highs will just top out in the low to mid 80s.

The humidity will also be a bit lower for Wednesday making for a comfortable summer day.

High temperatures will stay in the 80s with morning lows in the 60s for the rest of the work week into the upcoming weekend.  Dry conditions are also forecast through at least early next week.
