SAN ANTONIO — One of the Alamo City's most loved physicians celebrated a milestone Wednesday.

Gonzaba Medical Group's Founder and CEO Doctor Bill Gonzaba celebrated his 85th birthday.

More than 3,000 seniors came to say thank you, wish him well and to dance the afternoon away.

Gonzaba has served the San Antonio community for more than half a century.

"Love is the answer and it is. It always is; with our patients, with our relationships, with our family. Love is at the core of everything," Gonzaba said.

Doctor Gonzaba started his practice in 1960 on South Flores Street, right near the neighborhood where he grew up.

Quickly his clinic and network expanded, and his two sons even joined in the family business.
