SAN ANTONIO -- A flash flood warning was issued for southern Bexar County Tuesday afternoon, and it was slated to remain in effect until 6:30 p.m.

Radar showed heavy rain falling in parts of southwester Bexar County. Spectrum News meteorologist Mary Wasson said between 2 and 3 inches of rain is possible, and there is some concern about regional flooding. As of 4 p.m. there was at least one high water rescue reported. More than 2,000 people across the city are without power.

Rain is expected to continue through the evening, and it's recommended you leave yourself extra time for the commute home. The good news is we should be completely dry by Thursday, and we'll be dealing with a very hot weekend with highs projected to reach 100 degrees.
