SAN ANTONIO — A new adult entertainment club is open at the same location of a club that was shut down amid allegations of human trafficking.

  • New club opening after Blush Show Club shutdown
  • Blush had its liquor license revoked
  • Allegedly had underage girl working as exotic dancer

Diamonds Show Club will operate as a bring your own beverage establishment.

The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission said a permit is not required for a BYOB business.

The club declined to do an interview, but did tell us that it is a completely different business with a new owner and new management.

The previous tenant, the Blush Show Club and Restaurant, had its liquor license revoked last month. Blush is also accused of allowing an underage girl to perform as an exotic dancer.

The new club said it has no plans to later apply for a liquor license and will remain BYOB.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office redirected our questions to TABC.

Here is the statement we received from TABC:

"A TABC-issued liquor license is not necessary in order for a business to operate as a BYOB establishment. TABC agents did conduct inspections of the new business at the former Blush location, which is operating as a BYOB establishment. The inspection did not find that alcohol was being sold or kept on-site. TABC has found no indication that the former owner of Blush has any involvement in the new business.”

Additionally, the new club said it will be aggressively checking the ages of both customers and performers, and said performers must present an ID card and their social security card before being permitted to dance.
