  • Waco couple planning TV network
  • Replacing current DIY network

The Waco-based lifestyle team is working with Discovery to replace the current DIY network. The channel is currently viewed in an estimated 52 million homes around the United States.

Discovery has not released the name of the channel, but it will air reruns of the team's signature HGTV show Fixer Upper until the network is unveiled.

According to Discovery, the Gaines will cover community, home, garden, food, and wellness.

There will also be a dedicated app, and subscription streaming service for the network.

The Gaines left HGTV in September 2017 after a five-season run. The show followed the couple as they remodeled houses near their own home in Waco.

In 2018, the couple welcomed their fifth child to the Gaines family.
