SAN ANTONIO — A pregnant woman died, but her baby was saved after a South Side shooting at an apartment complex.

According to police, at 6:45 p.m. officers were called to the Rosemont at University Park on the 100 block of Emerald Ash. Two women, identified as Jannette Quiroz and Bernadett Quiroz, were both found shot and one was pregnant.

One woman died at the scene while the pregnant woman was transported to the hospital. The baby was able to be saved by the hospital staff, but the mother passed away.

Police say the suspect may be a juvenile male, but they do not have that person in custody.
