BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said the burned human remains are not likely those of Andreen McDonald, the woman who went missing in early March.

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said the body is a female, somewhere between five feet two inches to five feet four inches tall.

Deputies responded to a call at 3 p.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of Highway 211 North after a caller reported finding burned remains.

Authorities walked to the about 100 yards from the road and the found skeletal remains of an unknown human gender. They said the body was burned beyond recognition.

The body was taken to the medical examiner and authorities are waiting on dental records.

The investigation of the area is expected to continue through Friday.

Salazar said the medical examiner is still extracting DNA from the body to determine the identity of the victim.
