LEON VALLEY, Texas - After being closed for nine days, the San Antonio Aquarium is set to reopen this weekend, according to a Facebook post.

The aquarium was shut down on November 28 by the Leon Valley Fire Department.

“Through regular inspection, we’ve found devices that produce carbon monoxide, and we’ve shut them down for that,” Leon Valley Fire Chief Michael Naughton said in November.

PREVIOUS: San Antonio Aquarium Remains Closed 

It was earlier anticipated the aquarium would open Monday or Tuesday of this week, but it did not pass fire inspection for issues concerning fire exits.

It did, however, pass plumbing and electrical inspections.
