SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Thousands of people were in the dark on the Northwest Side of San Antonio Friday morning amid severe weather.
- Between 1,000 and 5,000 were without power
- More outages popping up
- Flash flood watch in effect
As rain continues to sweep across Central Texas, a CPS Energy map showed that between 1,000 and 5,000 people were without power around 6 a.m. While crews restored power by 9 a.m., more outages have been popping up.
All of Bexar County is currently under a flash flood watch until noon on Saturday.
Drivers are reminded to be careful on slick roads. The AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety said drivers should never attempt to cross a road that is covered with water.
