CONCAN, TEXAS --- Heavy rain in the Hill Country caused a threat for flash flooding.

• Campers had to be relocated
• Some areas received more than eight inches of rain

Uvalde County is just one of those counties under a Flash Flood Watch that includes the Frio River at Garner State Park.

The Frio River is receding after over flowing its banks at the Garner State Park. There were are few campers that needed to be moved Sunday but everyone is safe.

Sunday night the area received a couple inches of rain but upstream was the hardest hit. Those areas receiving at least four to eight inches, and some spots received more than eight inches.

"Around the Prade Ranch, which is the head waters for the Frio, that caused it to rise," says Brian Puchalski of Garner State Park. "And you are seeing what it caused from the rain that we got. And supposedly there's another rise coming now."

At the state park there is no cell phone signal, but weather alerts are still received.
