SAN ANTONIO – Police are investigating what led to a drive-by shooting on the city's east side.

Police responded to the scene on Morningview Drive near Interstate-10 Sunday afternoon

San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said four people were shot in a drive-by shooting. The victims included a mother, her 2-year-old child, another 12 year-old, and an adult man.

Authorities said three of the victims are being treated at nearby hospitals and are expected to survive. The fourth victim left before police arrived.

As for the suspects, authorities said two people drove away from the scene after shooting multiple bullets.

"We caught that incident on video and we have located the vehicle and detectives are working that right now. No one is being cooperative. Everyone says they don’t know what happened or why it happened so that’s kind of where we are right now," said McManus.

A motive for the shooting and the intended target is still unclear.
