SAN ANTONIO —  The Vance Jackson Walmart Supercenter reopened five days after a fire destroyed virtually all of the merchandise in the building.

According to Walmart spokesperson Anne Hatfield, cleanup crews have worked nonstop to repair the store from water and smoke damage. Fresh merchandise was also brought in, in order to open the grocery department and pharmacy Wednesday.

Walmart says it will continue to open other departments of the store as they are cleaned and restocked.
