SAN ANTONIO – A fire has been extinguished after it was burning for several hours at a salvage yard overnight on Friday.

The fire started at the Monterrey Iron Salvage Yard around 1:34 a.m. in the 2300 block of Frio City Road.

Firefighters worked to put out the burning seat cushions, tire scraps and magnesium scraps.

Crews used foam to knock out the fire. 

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
