SAN ANTONIO — Frontier is known for the animals that appear on the tails of its planes and soon visitors will see a Texas icon added to the fleet.
Frontier Airlines is holding a contest to determine what animal will make the tail of a new airplane. The public was invited to vote on the animal and the winner is the Longhorn Steer.
The second round of the contest is asking residents to vote for their favorite name for the longhorn.
The final names:
- Tex

- Lonestar
- Larry
- Alamo
A winner will be randomly selected in round two to win 25 round-trip flights – one for every destination Frontier serves from San Antonio.
Round two voting starts June 27. To vote, visit this website.
