SAN ANTONIO — And it's on! Challenge accepted, said Bexar Co. Sheriff's Office on Monday.

Deputy Mena's song choice? "I Want It That Way" by the Backstreet Boys. Coincidence that San Atnonio Police Ofc. Quiroz took on N'SYNC's "Bye Bye Bye" last? We think not.

Here's the clapback:

While waiting, Bexar Co. deputies used their "tools of the trade" to make us all laugh with some "Sandstorm" on Monday night:

On Tuesday, Quiroz finally got back, taking on Hawaiian pop prince Bruno Mars:

BONUS: The ladies of SAPD Central SAFFE were like, "move over, boys," it's women time with Destiny's Child's "Independent Women, Part I."

Oh, and Sgt. Lopez with the San Antonio Airport Police Department had his K9 Cora guest star for a bit of Bell Biv Davoe:

Round two complete. We think. Will this madness ever end?! How do we choose?!

On Friday, after a day of silence, a couple of new agencies entered the game:

Castle Hills PD took on a Disney classic. And San Antonio Park Police's Ofc. Dawson contributed something sweet under the red light from her truck bed.

And kicking off what we think is round three (?) is East Patrol Deputy Statton with a hot take on some smooth Santana riffs:

Spectrum News is following this nailbiter closely and will add updates as they become available.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Police Department has something to prove, and that something is that their crew wears the crown — the lip sync crown.

Bexar County Sheriff’s Office first started receiving love over a now-viral video of one of its deputy’s lip-syncing to "Fuiste Mala."

Mena received such an overwhelming response, he gave fans a bit "More Mena" on Thursday with an almost-NSFW version of Charlie Puth's "In the Dark":

And that's when SAPD fired back.

On Friday, the department posted an “oldie but goodie” of SAPD Ofc. Quiroz lip syncing to *NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye.”

"Alright Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, you’ve officially been challenged to a lip sync battle! Our very own SAPD Officer J. Quiroz has been singing in his patrol car for a very long time," SAPD said on Facebook.

Are you Team Quiroz or Team Mena? Personally, we think the two should duke it out on stage because we're loving this duel between departments that much.
