SAN ANTONIO – A three-hour SWAT situation ended Friday evening in San Antonio.

Authorities originally responded to a call for a reported sexual assault.

Police said a man barricaded himself inside of a home on Elizabeth Road near New Braunfels Avenue Friday evening. The victim was able to escape but the suspect, a man in his 40s, stayed inside. Authorities were concerned because he had a history of weapons offenses and assault.

Neighbors were not in any immediate danger, according to police.

The suspect was taken into custody.
