SAN ANTONIO — It’s one of the oldest art shows in San Antonio where artisans from all over the Lone Star State gather at La Villita for a good cause.

About 200 artists participated over the weekend in the annual Starving Artist Art Show.

Shoppers found bargains galore – everything from paintings to jewelry.

The one of kind artwork went for sale to help raise hunger awareness and money for the food pantry at the Little Church of La Villita.

“We’re helping approximately 4,000 to 5,000 households a month. And, you know, these are people that are living on a fixed income – senior citizens mostly. A lot of people living on disability,” said Little Church of La Villita Pastor Arthur Flores.

The food pantry is opened during the day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
