SAN ANTONIO—An early Monday morning robbery spree leads to the arrest of three suspects.
Danny Soto and Kevin Wayne Moore, both 18-years-old, along with 19-year-old Devion Pitts face multiple counts of aggravated robbery.
Criminal Justice reporter John Salazar spoke to the manager of the Red Roof Inn, where police say the suspects committed their last robbery before taking a ride to jail. Surveillance video shows Soto and Moore enter the Red Roof Inn located on Hwy 90 and West Military Drive. Hotel manager Kevin Sweeney can be seen knocking Moore to the floor.
That's when Soto walks around the counter, hitting Sweeney with a handgun. The manager then opens the money drawer. The suspects did try to get away, but police arrested all three men in a nearby parking lot, just moments later.
"Why would you waste your life for $200? I just don't understand it. I really don't,” said Sweeney.
SAPD investigators say the teenagers robbed a total of six businesses Monday morning. All three men are locked up in the Bexar County Jail, each with $50,000 bonds.
