PENFIELD, N.Y. -- Shadow Lake Golf and Racquet Club is set to be bought by two men in the weeks ahead.
Fritz Odenbach, the current senior vice president of the Dolomite Group, and Gary Haseley, CEO of the Zeller corporation, signed a letter of intent to buy the course. The two said they plan making improvements to the golf course and clubhouse. The purchase is expected to close in April upon final purchase agreement.
The public course is one of three golf facilities along with Shadow Pines, also in Penfield, and Greystone Golf in Wayne County, to be developed and operated by the Dolomite Group. The town of Penfield is considering a moratorium that would halt any proposed residential development on Shadow Pines.
Dolomite sold it's golf courses in 2000 to a company based in Ireland, but continued to operate under it's name.
