SAN ANTONIO -- The Alamo City just got a little more stylish.
New York Fashion Designer Marisol Deluna is setting up shop at San Antonio's La Villita Historic Arts Village.
A ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday kicked off the grand opening of the design studio, boutique and educational foundation.
The fashion savvy crowd were chomping at the bit to get a glimpse of the new digs.
The foundation is tailored to teaching the in's and out's of fashion and design.
"So we have a New York designed -- Texas made collection, and so currently we're working out of Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio. And it's extraordinary here because there is so much talent here from a manufacturing end and I think that for young emerging designers they need to know that there is an industry beyond the catwalk. That they can manufacture and make a sustainable living," said Deluna.
Most of the pieces are handmade and hand designed.
