AUSTIN, Texas — This year’s QS World University Rankings are out and the University of Texas at Austin proudly claims its place at No. 4 among public universities in the U.S. Globally, UT Austin was ranked No. 58.

Rated the best in Texas, UT Austin ranked No. 19 among both public and private universities in the U.S.

UT Austin states “the QS World University Rankings were based on nine factors including academic reputation, faculty-student ratio, citations per faculty member, sustainability, employability and international research collaboration.” Its evaluations come from millions of academic papers and thousands of expert opinions from faculty and staff.

Additional Texas colleges made it onto the rankings of U.S. public and private universities as well, such as Texas A&M at No. 32, Rice University at No. 34 and The University of Texas at Dallas at No. 86.

UT Austin has risen above its competition and is a distinguished institution with the many acclamations it has received. Ranking at No. 43 in Best Global Universities, more than 50 of the university’s graduate programs and specialties were classified as top 10 in the nation. Per U.S. News, four of UT Austin’s graduate programs were dubbed No. 1 in the country.
