SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Pierson Criner is a team player. “I really don’t feel like I ever have a bad attitude,” he tells us. “I’m just always real happy to be there and building others up.”

The senior at The Christian School at Castle Hills keeps a busy schedule with football, basketball and track. “I just have a lot of fun with it,” says Criner. “There’s not a lot of free time, but I’d say it’s worth it.”

Keeping a positive outlook and staying focused on the goal has been essential to Criner’s teammates. In track, they achieved their goal when they made it to the state finals.

Looking back, Criner says a big win in football is one of his proudest accomplishments. In 2021, The Christian School at Castle Hills won their district championship. It came after a rough few years of defeats. “We came back and we won our first game,” says Criner. “It broke the streak of losing, and that was just a really special moment.”
