The family of a former Dallas ISD teacher’s aide has filed a $20 million federal lawsuit alleging negligence by the school district.  

Two years ago, Sharla Sims was attacked in the classroom by a student with a history of violence. She died three days later. The family claims Sims would be alive today if district officials had heeded the warnings of the teacher who witnessed the attack.
