We saw more heat and humidity on Thursday, but even hotter daytime highs are in the forecast as we wrap up the workweek Friday.
A heat advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service from late Friday morning into early Friday evening.
Along with the hot temperatures on Friday, we'll also see a slightly greater chance for afternoon and evening showers and storms. Some storms will be capable of strong winds, moderate to heavy rain and dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning.
So be mindful of the heat and for that chance of scattered showers and storms on Friday.
Afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms will continue in the area through the weekend, along with those hot daytime temperatures.
